DOG FOOD RECALLS!! Have you heard about them this year, 2007? If not you must be living in a cave. How many dogs and cats died this year from tainted pet food?? We don’t know exactly, but there were a lot. I’m not going to mention any brand names here.

We have been frustrated and nervous trying to find the right dog food that would be safe for our dogs and our business. We have been extremely disappointed in the other dog food companies that manufactured so called "premium dog food" especially when finding that they were buying "cheap" ingredients imported from China. It would seem that this was done just to maximize profits for the company while leaving many sad families across this country with sick or dying dogs.

That being one major problem and issue to deal with when searching for a proper dog food; here are other problems we have found with the "premium dog foods", see if these sound familiar to you:

Foods do not have the proper ingredients and balance to help the joint development in the Large & Giant breed dogs.
Joints collapse causing the puppies or dogs to walk "funny"
Dogs have dry and flaky skin
The coat is not as dense and healthy as it should be.
Too much of the food causes diarrhea.
Portions are too small, causing the dogs and puppies to look for other things to eat.
Dogs don’t like the food and won’t eat full portions causing them to loose weight or the puppies do not grow enough during the critical growth period.
The food is too soft and does not help control tarter on the teeth.
Some treats are "Made in China" (don’t we have the necessary ingredients in America to feed our pets?!) We just returned some "chicken jerky" treats to the store because it was "Made in China".
We even found little brown worms in one of the major brands of "premium dog food"; this was in the large breed puppy and large breed adult.

These are just some of the problems we have encountered with the foods on the market. As I said; this made us very frustrated and nervous about selecting a dog food to feed to our most prized possessions, our dogs.
